Our first Pack 846 meeting for the year. This is a great way to grab some food and have your child meet other children in the pack. This informational meeting will allow you to ask lots of questions from our volunteers and leaders in the pack. We host a movie in the evening for those staying with us into the evening.

The Bobcat Welcoming Ceremony in Cub Scouts is a special event held to formally welcome new Cub Scouts into the pack and mark the beginning of their scouting journey. The Bobcat rank is the first rank that every Cub Scout must earn, and this ceremony is typically conducted shortly after a new scout joins the pack. A great way to meet other families in the pack and den. Pizza and drinks are provided.
Catalina Island Family Weekend

Join us in our first camping experience to Catalina Island via boat ferry. This is open to all family members and you'll have a chance to enjoy a full schedule of outdoor activities. Archery, hiking, painting, target practice, carving, swimming, campfire, and Halloween activities. Boats leave Friday evening and return Sunday morning. Typically, from and to at Long Beach near the Queen Mary. The boat trip will last about 2.5 hours. Food & drinks are provided. Tent and or upgraded housing available. Backpack in your own gear. More information to be provided.

Holiday Parade of Lights

Pack 846 will join the annual holiday parade held at the Promenade on The Peninsula. Our pack is planning to build a float or go as a theme. All dens are participating. Come meet the den at Pollo Inca Parking Lot (550 Deep Valley Dr.) by the Promenade Mall on the northwest side.
Rocket Lake at Lucerne Dry Lake Bed Campout

Friday & Sunday (1 Night Camp)
Build your best rockets and come launch with other passionate rocket hobbyists. You'll learn how to build a rocket, prepare a rocket, and watch them soar. Overnight camping recommended or early Saturday morning arrival. Please consult with your den leader for the necessary materials needed for this overnight camp. You will need to bring your own supplies and work with the Pack on larger items. We will be collaborating with Rocketry Organization of California to launch rockets on Saturday, Dec 9.

Our most popular event. The Pinewood Derby is a time-honored tradition in Cub Scouting, where young scouts get to unleash their creativity and engineering skills to build their very own race cars. Participants start with a basic Pinewood Derby car kit, which includes a wooden block, four plastic wheels, and four nails for axles. Your membership includes a free kit. Request from your Den leader, typically distributed in the month of Nov or Dec.

The Raingutter Regatta is a popular and exciting event in Cub Scouting, designed for young scouts to test their creativity, handiwork, and sailing skills. Taking inspiration from the Pinewood Derby, this event offers a fun twist by letting scouts build their very own miniature sailboats. Participants start with a basic Raingutter Regatta boat kit. The kit usually includes a flat, narrow plastic hull, a mast, a sail, and a set of stickers or decorations for customization. Like the Pinewood Derby, this event encourages scouts to get creative and design their boats to reflect their individuality and style
